Life on the Rocks II - 18" x 12"


Old decrepit fishery poles near Auchencairn Bay, one of many gorgeous bays in Dumfries & Galloway. From 1750 onwards, Auchencairn Bay became the centre of extensive smuggling activity in the area, with many of the local inhabitants being involved.

This black and white long exposure photograph was shot using a Canon 600D; exposure details:

This is a fine art black and white long exposure shot of the fishery nets at Auchencairn Bay, on the southern Dumfries & Galloway coast. This extreme long exposure photo had an exposure time of 80 seconds.

I print my photographs on Fuji Metallic 'pearl' paper. The Fuji Metallic medium enhances the silver tones, making for a very striking print.
